Donation Items Needed

Cars

Project: Distribute cars to families coming out of homelessness. Car donations are accepted January - October each year through our Driving Family Futures ministry.

  • Dates: January – October each year
  • Location: The Woodlands Methodist Church

Clothing

Project: We collect the following for Angel’s Loft, which is part of Angel Reach.

  • Youth clothing is always needed
  • Infant to adult clothing (especially coats during the winter months)
  • Baby Clothing
  • Sporting Equipment
  • Storage Containers
  • Trunks
  • Blankets
  • Tents
  • Sleeping bags (adult, lined)
  • Dates: 7 Days a week
  • Location: Acrylic bins located in the Loft Alley

Food/Meal Requests

Project: Provide nourishment for food-insecure people throughout Montgomery County

  • Third Sunday Food Drive : Bring a bag of non-perishable food items to church on the Third Sunday of each month. Place the bag outside of your car in the parking lot. During worship, Boy Scouts from Troop 772 will pick up all donations and deliver to local food pantries.
  • Elizabeth's Place : Meals for at-risk young and expectant moms' group. 2nd and 4th Thursday evenings. Contact Betsy to learn more

Furniture

Project: Below are some of the organizations that we work with that will come and pick up furniture. All proceeds for any sales they make off from the furniture is used for their ministry needs. 

  • Women's Center Something Special : Resale Shop to help improve the lives of victims of family and sexual violence
  • Note: Will only pick up items located on the first floor.
  • Habitat for Humanity ReStore : All proceeds go toward the mission of Habitat MCTX to build strength, stability, and affordable housing.
  • Note: Will only pick up items located on the first floor.

Mattress Recycling

Project: Mattresses that are in excellent condition are detailed and given to families in need.

  • Houston Furniture Bank : Serving families affected by poverty, homelessness, domestic violence, mental and physical health concerns, and disaster.
