Singles Small Group
Meets Mondays at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom
We tend to focus on studies with DVDs or books that include some great discussion with them. To create community within the group, we meet off-campus periodically to share a meal, indoor rock climbing, bowling, etc. (Note: To stay in accordance with the United Methodist Book of Discipline all events are alcohol-free.)
Our current study is called A Way Through the Wilderness by Rob Renfroe starts September 14, at 7:00p.m.
At one time or another we all have a wilderness experience, a time when life is barren and difficult and we fee alone and desperate, wondering how we can make it through another day. There's a way through the wilderness that can leave us broken and bitter and far away from God. But there's another way through the wilderness - God's way - that leaves us with a deeper faith and draws us closer to God than we ever imagined.
With sensitivity and warmth, Rob Renfroe explores the wilderness experience - what it is, how we get there, why God allows it, and how we can get through it God's way so that we learn the lessons he has for us, lessons that can be learned only in the desolate seasons of life we are totally dependent on God. You'll discover how the wilderness can become a spiritual training ground God uses to deepen your trust in him, remake your character into the image of his Son, and prepare you to bring hope, healing, and life to others who are hurting.

Work. For some this word represents drudgery and the mundane. For others work is an idol to be served. If you find yourself anywhere on the spectrum from workaholic to weekend warrior, it's time to bridge the gap between Sunday worship and Monday work.
Striking a balance between theological depth and practical counsel, Tom Nelson outlines God's purposes for work in a way that helps us to make the most of our vacation an to join God in his work in the world.
