STUDY SCHEDULE

Through mid-November - 1 and 2 Corinthians

The Apostle Paul wrote multiple letters to the Christians in Corinth, Greece. The two that have been preserved in the New Testament give us great insights into the early church. We'll see how Paul addresses a number of problems that he heard about and witnessed in Corinth, including divisions within the church based on personalities, materialism, and immorality. He was very concerned with the influence that the Greek culture had on the local church. Paul's work was successful in leading these young Christians to a deeper faith, including his hymn on love that is considered the finest expression in literature. His message was a powerful one in the first century and it still stands as a beacon for our society and churches today.
